About us

We are committed to respond to the cultural and social needs of the Malayalee community and accordingly our programs are tailored to meet them. Our programs are attended by a wide spectrum of the community numbering in hundreds.

Our major focus on our generation to come, children are put in first place. And we the AMCA family strive to promote whatever we can offer to our children to find and what is best for their life from our cultural and traditional values to learn and develop.

AMCA work hard to provide the finest opportunities to our kids in every aspects of life. As part of that:

CCMS (Central Coast Malayalam School): The Association Run a Malayalam School Called “Central Coast Malayalam School”. CCMS

AMCA School of Dance: The Association also provide the Classical Indian Dance Classes (AMCA School of Dance) on every Saturday in association with Narthana School of Dance, Australia.

Malayalam Library (Ninve): AMCA has a rich cultural back born to promote Malayalam Language. Towards this initiative, The association has a Malayalam Library Called; “Ninave”, which has hundreds of Malayalam Books from all branches of Malayalam literature.

AMCA’s Charity Work: The Caring nature of AMCA always extends their helping hand to support the needy in the society. Association raise fund from its members through Malayalam Movie screening and other cultural performances.

The two major annual programs we conduct are:

• The Harvest Festival of South India Called “Onam” The biggest celebration falls in August/September – One of the main features of Onam celebrations is cultural programs reminiscent of Kerala’s own rich cultural and artistic life both present and past. During the celebrations we also provide a traditional, delicious Kerala style Special Onam Banquet, The mouth-watering delicious vegetarian meal, consist of Special Kerala Brown Rice and 22 combinations of curries Called “ONASADHYA”.

• Christmas and New Year celebrations in December/January – These celebrations include a vast array of different types of cultural programs accompanied by a sumptuous dinner. The main focus is reminding the attendees of Jesus Christ’s message of love, kinship, compassion and mutual help. In addition we also conduct events such as family fun days, Sports and BBQ, summer outings, and other cultural shows and events. These events range from social networking events are like Harmony Day, Multicultural day, to social/cultural/artistic events with the aim of providing a stage for the community’s talents to perform and also meeting the various interests of the community. The contents of these programs are non-religious, non-political and non-controversial but have only the aim of spreading south India’s mainly Kerala’s culture and heritage.

We are always at the forefront in offering help and assistance in times of humanitarian needs arising from unfortunate events whether natural or otherwise. We respond by engaging ourselves into fund raising activities and help support those important causes in order to alleviate financial or otherwise burden without any regard or consideration to nationality, religion, faith or belief of the affected.
